Restricted Free Agent
The Miami Dolphins locked up a couple of big men to one year contracts Tuesday evening. The Dolphins announced defensive lineman Phillip Merling and offensive tackle Lydon Murtha signed their restricted free agent tenders.
The Miami Heat took the first step Wednesday towards solidifying the team, just days after losing the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Miami Dolphins are trying to finish off business with players before the CBA expires at midnight Thursday. The Fins have put a second-round tender offer on backup quarterback Tyler Thigpen.
