A few hours into free agency, Florida general manager Dale Tallon essentially sounded resigned to the fact that there would be no big splash to make this year.
With big moves being made across the NHL on the first day of free agency, things have been relatively quiet around the Florida Panthers.
The Florida Panthers agreed to terms with centers Dave Bolland and Jussi Jokinen, plus goaltender Al Montoya shortly after hockey’s free agent period started Tuesday.
The Florida Panthers started the day more than $20 million below the NHL’s salary cap floor and when the clock struck noon, Panthers general manager Dale Tallon came out swinging to try to help rebuild the moribund franchise.
