The University of Miami has sent a blistering response to the NCAA asking for the case against the school to be dropped. UM is asking the NCAA to drop the case after repeated missteps by the collegiate governing body during the investigation of the school.
NCAA President Mark Emmert’s seat may be getting warmer in the wake of the bungled investigation into the University of Miami and other problems with the collegiate governing body.
The NCAA’s investigation into Miami is one step closer to being completed. The collegiate governing body announced Wednesday the external enforcement review it assigned to Kenneth Wainstein has been completed and will be published by next Friday.
The NCAA may have identified the source who approved of the payment to the lawyer of Nevin Shapiro that sparked the collegiate organization to open an investigation on its own enforcement actions.
