As people voted hours after midnight on election night, Miami-Dade county leaders were scrambling to fix what had been days of chaos.
While Miami-Dade County saw some of the longest lines to vote in the state, the County finished counting its ballots Thursday as other large counties like Palm Beach and Broward continue to try to tally the final vote.
Early voting is well underway in the Sunshine State and more than 100,000 residents of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties have already cast their votes.
The Miami-Dade County Elections Canvassing Board began meeting Friday morning and have made a determination on a disputed commission race and are evaluating a state house yet to be decided.
Early voting for the August primary is already well underway, but the results in Broward County have been slim, while Miami-Dade is seeing large number voting by absentee ballot.
Based on early voting numbers statewide, it looks like Florida Republicans are coming out in droves to determine who will face President Barack Obama in November.
