Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and the Florida State offense have gotten most of the attention leading up to the BCS championship game.
The University of Kentucky will hire former Florida State Seminoles defensive coordinator Mark Stoops will be the Wildcats’ new head coach, according to WKYT and Kentucky Sports Radio.
Florida State appears to have it all this season — at least on paper. And while coach Jimbo Fisher doesn’t want his players distracted with the preseason expectations, he said during Sunday’s media day activities that this year’s team is deeper and, perhaps more importantly, a year older.
While most of the media’s focus has been on the University of Miami, perhaps the most talented team in the state continues to put the final touches on its depth chart in Tallahassee.
