FAA Extends Ban On Flights Into Tel Aviv

The Federal Aviation Administration has extended its ban on U.S. airlines’ flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, for another 24 hours. The ban now runs through 12:15 p.m. ET Thursday, the FAA said.

More than 400,000 passengers flying Germany’s Lufthansa will encounter cancellations due to a three-day strike by pilots.

The largest passenger airliner in the world is coming to South Florida on Friday. Lufthansa will begin daily flights on the A380 between Miami and Frankfurt beginning June 10th, 2011 at Miami International Airport.
