The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will soar above Fort Lauderdale Beach this weekend for the inaugural Lauderdale Air Show and they won’t be alone.
The new Lauderdale Air Show will soar over the waters off Ft. Lauderdale’s this weekend. Beginning Wednesday, drivers near the beach will notice road closures as workers set up the Family Zone, Drop Zone and Sunrise Village.
After a lengthy hiatus, military planes will once again take over the skies above Ft. Lauderdale Beach for the 2012 Lauderdale Air Show. Spectators will be awed by the marvel of flight as planes show off their slick maneuvers and sky divers leap from high speed jets.
In just two weeks, an Air Show returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach for the first time in 5 years and with it comes 300,000 pounds that can break the speed of sound.
After a four year hiatus, organizers of a new air show over Ft. Lauderdale beach have lined up a premier headline act.
On Monday, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds confirmed that they will perform at the 2012 Lauderdale Air Show on April 28th and 29th.
