Man Accused Of Trying To Drown Police Dog

A Miami Gardens man is facing a host of charges after he allegedly tried to drown a police dog. Around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office received a call about a burglary in progress at “The Oaks” condominiums on Stirling Road in Dania Beach.

An American Eagle regional jet bound to Miami from Indianapolis was quarantined and the passengers removed by bus, while police dogs sniffed luggage that had been removed from the plane and spread out on the tarmac. There was no immediate explanation why, but police sounded the all-clear at 11:30.
