As the sun began to set over South Florida Sunday night, a Sun Life Stadium record crowd of 78,353 WWE fans descended on Sun Life Stadium for the once-a-year extravagana that is Wrestlemania.
Most people wouldn’t dare call chiseled WWE superstar John Cena any names, let alone “a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.” But in the lead up to their WrestleMania 28 “Once in a Lifetime” match Sunday in Miami, that’s exactly what The Rock told Cena he looked like.
The professional wrestling fans and stars have soaked up the sun all week in South Florida and Sunday will finally bring about the culmination of Wrestlemania week, Wrestlemania XXVIII.
The professional wrestling world will focus its eyes on Sun Life Stadium Sunday evening for Wrestlemania XXVIII. The event will be headlined by a match that only Miami could pull off, The Rock versus John Cena.
Wrestlemania XXVII is just in the books, but the WWE has wasted no time in setting up the main event for Wrestlemania XXVIII here in Miami.
World Wrestling Entertainment awarded WrestleMania 28 to South Florida and will hold the annual event at Sun Life Stadium next year, according to CBSMiami news partner the Miami Herald.
