The Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team can finally turn its complete focus to the Duke Blue Devils after surviving a big scare at the hands of Boston College Wednesday night.
The Miami Hurricanes hit Tobacco Road Thursday night with plenty of skeptics not ready to believe the Canes are ready to compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference. By the time the game in Chapel Hill ended, it was the North Carolina Tar Heels looking for answers after Miami knocked them off at the Deandome, 68-59.
The Miami Hurricanes entered Tuesday night’s game against Maryland with a mission to win out the rest of the season and head to the NCAA Tournament in March. Unfortunately for Hurricanes fans, things didn’t go exactly as planned.
When the University of Miami Hurricanes take the court this fall, they’ll be doing it without standout center Reggie Johnson. The 6’10”, 305 pound center tore his meniscus Monday and after surgery Thursday, will be out five to six months.
