Blood Samples Collected After TC Dengue Fever Outbreak

Blood samples are being collected from 300 people on Florida’s Treasure Coast by public health workers after 18 cases of mosquito-borne illness were confirmed.

Feds Beef Up Oversight Of FPL Nuke Plant

Florida Power and Light, which is seeking permission to expand it’s Turkey Point nuclear power plant in South Miami-Dade, is getting increased federal oversight of it’s Jensen Beach plant near Port St. Lucie after the plant experienced a series of unplanned shutdowns.

New “Papa” Hemingway Crowned In Key West

The 12th time was the charm for a 64-year old biomedical engineer from Jensen Beach. Saturday night Matt Gineo was named the 2011 winner of the Ernest “Papa” Hemingway look-alike competition in Key West.
