Markstrom Leads Panthers To 3-1 Victory

When the final buzzer sounded at Madison Square Garden, the Swedish goalie celebrated the big win with his teammates. No, it wasn’t Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers this time. Jacob Markstrom made 44 saves, and he and the cellar-dwelling Florida Panthers stole the spotlight from Lundqvist and the Rangers with a 3-1 win Thursday night.

Bruins Shutdown Panthers, 4-1

Tuukka Rask and Patrice Bergeron kept the surging Bruins near the top of the Eastern Conference. Rask made 29 saves and Bergeron scored two goals to help the Bruins beat the Panthers 4-1 on Thursday.
