There’s good news for the restoration of the Florida Everglades. A $20 million federal grant has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation to elevate a section of highway blocking the natural flow of water into Everglades National Park.
Tonight and tomorrow night the southbound lanes of the Palmetto will be closed from NW 25th street to the Dolphin Expressway from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
All northbound lanes on SR 826 will be closed from south of West Flagler Street to SR 836 on Sunday, August 10 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. In addition, the westbound SR 836 ramp to southbound SR 826 will also be closed during this time frame.
