Golden: Miami Couldn’t Land KO Shot Against FSU

Miami coach Al Golden was unhappily correct. To beat Florida State, Golden said in the days leading up to the annual Hurricane-Seminole showdown, his team would have to find a way to throw a knockout punch against the defending national champions.

No. 2 Florida State Escapes, Tops Miami 30-26

Dalvin Cook ran for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score late in the fourth, and No. 2 Florida State continued its season of rallies by erasing a 16-point deficit and topping Miami 30-26 on Saturday night.

Florida State Defeats Manhattan 81-66 In Opener

Aaron Thomas scored 14 points as Florida State won its season opener 81-66 over visiting Manhattan in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic. Jarquez Smith chipped in 13 points and Montay Brandon added 12 Saturday afternoon.

Report: FSU Player Ticketed After Leaving Accident

The New York Times is reporting a Florida State football player was ticketed, but not charged with a crime after briefly leaving the scene of a late night car accident.

Florida State’s Winston: Interceptions Have To Go

Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has turned the ball over at the worst rate of his collegiate career during his last three games. The Heisman winner threw two more interceptions during the 34-20 win against Virginia on Saturday and now has six in the last three games.
