FPL Rate Increase
Saying it gives “great deference” to utility regulators, the state Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously rejected a challenge to rate increases approved in 2012 for Florida Power & Light.
Florida Power & Light should know by the end of the week if it will be granted a requested base rate increase.
Come the first of the new year, most Florida Power & Light residential customers will see their bills go up by at least $2.59.
Florida Power and Light has filed a rate increase request with the state which, if approved, would increase a typical residential bill by about seven bucks a month.
Florida Power & Light Co. wants to hike rates about seven dollars a month for the average residential customer beginning next year.
