Key West Coast Guard Gets Fast Response Cutter

Key West now has its own U.S. Coast Guard Fast Response cutter. Coast Guard Sector Key West held a commissioning ceremony Saturday for the cutter Charles David Jr.

Coast Guard Receives New Cutter

The United States Coast Guard in Miami Beach received a sixth and final vessel in the sentinel-class Fast Response Cutter fleet Saturday. The cutters will have a home port of Miami.

The U.S Coast Guard in Miami newest ship arrived Sunday morning. The Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell, the fifth of the service’s planned 58 Fast Response Cutters in the Sentinel Class, docked at its new homeport around 9:30 a.m.
