Report: Gerrymandered Districts May Swing Election Under New Plan
The Republican Party has lost the last two presidential elections by large majorities in the Electoral College and lost the popular vote in Congress in 2012. So, party leaders at the state level are pushing for changes in the way electoral votes are apportioned.
Voters Reject Most Florida Amendments
Much of the lengthy ballot in Florida was due to multiple state constitutional amendments that each required at least 60 percent support from voters to become law. The high threshold makes it nearly impossible for most initiatives to pass.
