Female Impersonators Compete in Key West ‘Drag Race’

Dresses, pancake makeup and high platform heels aren’t the traditional attire for drag car racers. But that’s what competitors wore in Key West this weekend, when a group of big-haired female impersonators staged the Great Conch Republic Drag Race.

Carnival Apologizes To Gay Passengers After Forbidding Drag Dress On Ship

Carnival Cruise Lines is apologizing to gay passengers booked for an upcoming cross-dressing voyage for telling them they could not dress in drag on the ship, according to CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald.

High heels strapped into place, pancake make up in place and dressed in gowns or stylish sporting attire, some of Key West’s famous female impersonators hit Duval Street on Saturday afternoon for the Great Conch Republic Drag Race.
