Dresses, pancake makeup and high platform heels aren’t the traditional attire for drag car racers. But that’s what competitors wore in Key West this weekend, when a group of big-haired female impersonators staged the Great Conch Republic Drag Race.

Keys’ Queens Race Down Duval St.

High heels strapped into place, pancake make up in place and dressed in gowns or stylish sporting attire, some of Key West’s famous female impersonators hit Duval Street on Saturday afternoon for the Great Conch Republic Drag Race.
