Crime in the state of Florida is down, including Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties.
Crime in Florida dropped 6.5-percent in 2012 from 2011, with violent crimes overall down 4.3 percent, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s annual Uniform Crime Report released Thursday.
Crime rate is down in the Sunshine State, making 2012 the year with the lowest number of thefts, robberies and burglaries on record.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced Monday that Florida’s crime rate dropped nearly one percent in 2011 compared to 2010. Violent crimes statewide were down by 3.7 percent.
