The start of the work week got off to a chilly start across South Florida with temperatures in the low 50s Monday morning in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The Keys woke up with the upper 60s.
An approaching cold front will bring a big change mid-week. We’ll start off with a wet, warm and humid Monday where highs will reach the mid to upper 80s with scattered showers.
It was a chilly and breezy morning across South Florida Wednesday thanks to a cold front sweeping through overnight, but the coldest temperatures are yet to come.
The weather Tuesday morning was comfortable across South Florida with temperatures in the low 60’s. But, another cool down is in store for the area.
Enjoy the warmth while it lasts because after Tuesday, a series of cold fronts will move through the area to bring South Florida a longer stretch of “winter” weather all the way through the weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms moved over the area Sunday night into Monday morning after the mercury soared to 90 degrees, tying a record Sunday. But with the passage of the showers and a cold front on Monday, the temperatures will be plummeting over the next few days.
The coldest air of the season is on the way. A strong cold will move across all of South Florida by Tuesday morning.
