A Florida congressman has been charged with cocaine possession after what officials described as a “buy and bust” operation Tuesday.
The largest medicare fraud bust in history was announced today, and South Florida had the dubious distinction of racking up more than half of the money allegedly stolen from U.S. taxpayers.
Officials are continuing to crack down on so-called “pill mills” posing a threat to the public. It’s the latest step in a crackdown that began in October when Florida’s “Pill Mill Bill” went on the books.
Seven people were arrested Tuesday and three others are being south after officials said they were part of a massive drug smuggling operation at the Port of Miami.
