From a public hunt to snake-sniffing dogs, wildlife officials have tried several methods of capturing Burmese pythons, the invasive species living and breeding in the Everglades. Now officials hope to capture more snakes with a specially designed trap.

Monthlong Burmese Python Hunt Ends Sunday

Motivated by cash and curiosity, more than 1,500 hunters are deep in the Everglades on a final push to dent the Burmese python population.
