Doctor Performs Surgery To Remove Cataract From Pelican’s Eye

A Brown Pelican is undergoing cataract surgery Thursday, a surgery which will hopefully lead to the bird’s release into the wild in a few months.

Florida’s wildlife officials are working to save 16 imperiled species. Friday, they released action plans to conserve species including the Florida burrowing owl, Florida sandhill crane and Big Cypress and Sherman’s fox squirrels
