Fins Have Plenty To Fix Offensively

The Miami Dolphins are just 1-2 in the 2013 preseason, not that it counts for anything. Fins fans can be happy about several areas of the team including quarterback and defense, but between the running game and the team’s inability to score in the red zone, there’s plenty left to fix.

Bucs Edge Dolphins At Sun Life, 17-16

The Fins’ red zone offense had plenty of plays inside the Bucs’ 20-yard line and even though the starters finally produced a touchdown in the red zone, it wasn’t enough as Tampa Bay defeated Miami, 17-16.

Fins Receivers Looking To Gel Quickly

On paper, it’s an impressive array of speed (Mike Wallace) consistency (Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson) and potential mismatches (Dustin Keller). But there have been countless NFL teams that looked great on paper, but never could translate the talent onto the field. For the Fins, the key will be forming a bond between the new players, like Wallace and Gibson, and Ryan Tannehill.

Chad Bumphis. Miami Dolphins fans probably couldn’t pick him out of a lineup, but the undrafted free agent wide receiver from Mississippi State University may be close to landing a roster spot with the Fins.

The month of July is often one of the slowest months of the year for sports fans. Basketball and hockey are finished and baseball is hitting the All-Star Break. But, fear not football fans, because the start of Miami Dolphins training camp is less than three weeks away.
