Residents of Key Biscayne will soon find it a little easier to get to the mainland.
With only one way in and one way out, Key Biscayne residents and cyclists are cringing at the thought of a year-long construction project on the Bear Cut Bridge.
Driving to Virginia Key and Key Biscayne will become much more difficult for up to a year after state and county workers found “structural deficiencies” with the westbound lanes of the Bear Cut Bridge, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald.
Modifications to three bike lanes on the Rickenbacker Causewayto make them safer for cyclists are underway.
Bicyclists on the Rickenbacker Causeway will soon have a safer place to ride thanks to some modifications made by road crews next week.
Traffic is flowing smoothly to Key Biscayne and Crandon Park after repairs were completed by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.
