Police investigating the shooting of a teen in Miami Gardens now say it was an accident.
Six people killed in July’s tragic Hialeah massacre will be remembered Monday night at a memorial mass.
The City of Hialeah is planning a memorial mass service for the six victims of a gunman’s shooting rampage.
“It is the department’s full belief that the only culprit in this horrible tragedy is Pedro Vargas. He kept his exact intentions and secrets to himself and he possibly took his motive to the grave with him.” That is a statement from Hialeah police spokesman Lt. Carl Zogby at a Thursday afternoon news conference regarding the Hialeah massacre that left seven people dead including the gunman.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who was shot by a deputy Wednesday afternoon after he was seen carrying a rifle into an apartment complex pool area.
Pedro Vargas, five hours before killing six people in Hialeah, called 9-1-1, telling the dispatcher, among other things, that he believed someone was “casting spells” on him.
A man was airlifted to the hospital after an early morning shooting in Tamarac.
