City workers are making progress in clearing a section of State Road A1A which was flooded by seawater and sand earlier this week.

Residents and businesses near Fort Lauderdale’s famed beach are beginning to dry out. On Sunday, they spent the day dealing with flooding on A1A, and in low-lying areas, due to storm surge from Hurricane Sandy, high winds and seasonal high tides.
