Cefalo was a 3rd round draft pick out of Penn State in 1978. He spent 7 seasons playing for the Phins, scoring the second longest touchdown in Super Bowl history during Super Bowl XVII, against the Washington Redskins. Following his playing career, Cefalo proved himself to be a versatile radio and television broadcaster. He was a correspondent for NBC’s “Today Show”, sports anchor for “NBC News at Sunrise” and co-host of the 1988 Olympic games in Seoul. He even hosted the “Trump Card” game show distributed by Warner Brothers Television. Cefalo has been honored with an Emmy and has been named “Florida Sportscaster of the Year” five times.
