Don Bailey Jr.

Don Bailey Jr. Don Bailey Jr. has been a member of the Miami Hurricanes radio broadcast team since 1995 and works as color announcer with play-by-play partner Joe Zagacki.

Bailey, a four-year letterman and center at Miami (1979-1982) and team captain during his senior year, snapped to quarterback legend Jim Kelly and blocked for current University of Miami head football coach Mark Richt during his time as quarterback for the Hurricanes.

Bailey’s first start at center came at Penn State on November 3rd, 1979, when the Kelly-led Hurricanes upset the Nittany Lions 26-10 in a game that launched Miami to the forefront of the college football landscape.

Bailey was selected in the 11th round by the Denver Broncos in the 1983 draft, his other NFL career stops included the Tampa Bay Bucs and Indianapolis Colts; he is now the successful business owner of Don Bailey Flooring.
