Sunday's Easter Egg Hunts

Ready, Set, Scramble for Eggs! Peter Cottontail will be busy come Easter Sunday. Check out a number of fun-filled events happening on Easter across South Florida. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, your camera and an Easter basket, if required.

Bunny Palooza, a hip-hopping weekend of Easter egg hunts, parades and more. The event features a big Easter Parade at 1p.m. Enjoy continuous Easter Egg Hunts and five acres of adrenaline pumping fun with bounce houses, 'Giant Fun Slide,' Rock Climbing Wall and Euro Bungee jump. Plus, bunny hoppers will enjoy heaps of candies, prizes and other surprises. In addition to the park's regular shows, check out 5 acres of rides, slides, music, bounce houses, live music and more.

Join in on the fun at Jungle Island. Enjoy Easter Egg Hunts, pie-eating contests, arts and crafts stations, animal encounters and bounce houses, face painting and visits from special characters.

Egg hunts are held continuously between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are for children 10-years-old and under. One Easter Egg Hunt is included with each child admission ticket. Each additional Easter Egg Hunt is a $2 donation to Children First at UM Pediatrics. One-Day admission for adults (ages 11-64) is $32.95 plus tax. Seniors (Ages 65+) is $30.95 plus tax. Children (ages 3-10) $24.95 plus tax and Children (ages 0-2) is free.

In addition, join Jungle island for their Easter Brunch. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet in addition to their full day of Easter fun. The brunch is from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adult tickets are $45 and $32 for children (3 to 10-years-old). Prices include discounted park admission, brunch and tax. Join Zoo Miami from at their annual Egg Safari on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's a magical day at Zoo Miami with continuous egg safaris, fun activities, the Easter Bunny, and more for kids 12 years old and under.

Adults 13 years and older is $15.95. Children three to 12-years-old is $11.95. Admission for children 2 and under is free.

The animals will also get special treats in honor of the holiday. See schedule below:

10:30 a.m. The Bengal tigers will receive paper mache "Easter eggs" filled with treats.
11:00 a.m. The African lions will get egg-shaped blood pop in a nest of hay.
11:30 a.m. The sun bears will delight in their pastel-colored hard boiled eggs and papier mache eggs stuffed with treats.
1:00 p.m. The Asian elephants will enjoy giant Easter baskets filled with coconuts painted like eggs.
2:00 p.m. The harpy eagles will tear apart their papier mache eggs filled with with meat .
2:30 p.m. The Malayan tapir will get painted coconut "Easter eggs."
3:00 p.m. The African elephants will crush their giant Easter baskets to eat their yummy coconut "Easter eggs."
3:30 p.m. The Asian small-clawed otters will gobble up their pastel-colored hard boiled eggs.
