Guide To American Airlines Arena

Located on the water in Downtown Miami, the American Airlines Arena showcases first-rate entertainment and sporting events. The arena is best known as the home for Miami Heat Basketball and large crowds from all over the country come to the  AAA to watch LeBron, Wade, and Bosh battle it out with opposing teams on their home court.

Getting There

If you plan on driving to the arena for a big game or concert, prepare to spend some time in traffic. Downtown Miami can get jam-packed as thousands flood to the arena for concerts and Heat games.

I-95 SOUTH
I-395 EAST
Right on Exit 2B, (US-1/Biscayne Blvd.)
Right onto NE 2nd Ave.
Left onto NE 8th St.
Straight across Biscayne Blvd.

From The Keys:
US-1 NORTH
I-95 NORTH
North to Exit 2B, toward Biscayne Blvd./Downtown
Slight left to SE 2nd Ave. ramp towards Biscayne Blvd.
Straight onto SE 3rd St.
Left onto Biscayne Blvd.

From West Miami-Dade County
SR-836 EAST
I-395 EAST
Right on Exit 2A, towards US-1/Biscayne Blvd.
Right onto Abel Holtz Blvd./NE 2nd Ave.

Parking
There is an underground parking lot at the American Airlines Arena, but they have a limited number of available spaces, first-come-first-serve. The price to park in the garage is between $15 - $40, depending on the event. Valet parking is also available on the north side of the building, cost is between $25 - $50 per event.

Mass Transit
One of the best ways to get to the AAA is by taking advantage of Miami's public transportation. Stops for the MetroRail, MetroMover and MetroBus are just a short walk from the Arena entrance.

Tickets

In addition to the popular Miami Heat games, big name concerts are coming to the Arena in 2011. Headliners Usher and Lady Gaga are scheduled to perform and other top bill events like World Championship Boxing will draw large crowds to Downtown Miami.

There are several ways to get event tickets, online, by phone, or at the Arena.

You can also visit the ticket office window, located on the north side of the Arena. Ticket office hours are weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seating

The American Airlines Arena can house up to 20,000 fans, offering an intimate setting for concerts & shows with a good view of performers.For Heat games, end-zone seating is around 30 ft. closer to event floor than standard "multi-use arenas."
