2015 Guide To The Miami Dade County Fair & Exposition

It's that time of year when Ferris wheels, roller coasters and elephant ears take on Miami. The Miami Dade County Fair is back in town and kicks-off its 64th annual Fair on Thursday, March 12th.

Ranked the largest fair in the state and one of the top 35 fairs throughout North America, the 21-day festival featuring rides, live performances, fair food, and livestock and agricultural competitions attracts more than half a million visitors every year and exhibits the academic and artistic work of more than 45,000 local students.

Amenities

Over 200 acres of free public parking, over 160,000 sq. ft of air conditioned exhibit/shopping pavilions, paved walkways, convenient sitting areas, diaper changing facilities/restrooms, Lost & Found, stroller and wheelchair rental, and bilingual guest relations service.

Admission and Hours

ADMISSION AND HOURS OF OPERATION:
General admission is $12 for adults and children, free for children five years of age and younger, as well as 65 and older.

For the first time ever, the Youth Fair will be open 21 days instead of 18 days. It opens at 3:00 p.m. on Opening Day March 12th.

RUNNING DATES:

Thursday, March 12 – Sunday, April 5, 2015. Closed on the following days: March 16, 17, 30 and 31.

  • Opening Day Special: (March 12  & every Wednesday): 'Military Appreciation Day' - Active and retired military personnel receive free admission with valid I.D. Military Appreciation coupon.
  • Opening Day Special: (March 12 only): "Guest #64th Offer" - In honor of the 64th Anniversary, guest #64th at each of the turnstiles will receive 4 free admission tickets to come back on a different date.
  • 6 Before 6 Deals: $6 admission before 6 p.m. Monday - Fridays only. This coupon is required.
  • Scouts Day: Wednesday March 25th: Free admission for Girl and Boy Scouts dressed in uniform. No coupon required.
  • Miami-Dade County Employees:  Miami-Dade County Employees receive discount admission Mondays - Thursdays with this coupon.
  • Teachers: Public, Charter and Private school teachers receive discount admission Mondays - Thursdays with this coupon.
  • PTA Members: Miami-Dade PTA members receive discount admission Mondays - Thursdays with this coupon.
  • Library Cardholders: Miami-Dade County Public Library cardholders receive discount admission Mondays - Thursdays with this coupon.
  • Give A Meal Get A Deal:  Bring 2 cans of food and receive $4 off your admission ticket. Available March 13th to April 5th (except Opening Day, 3/16-17 & 3/30-31).

Youth Fair Fun Card: NEW in 2015 is The Youth Fair Fun Card, which allows guests to pay $25 for one admission each operating day, plus includes one free Souvenir Cup.

Midway Express Pass
The "Express Access Pass" gives fair goers VIP admission to rides. Each ride will have a separate line allowing pass holders to skip the regular lines.  $15.00

There are more than 90 heart pounding rides, two giant Kiddielands, outrageous fair food, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts, blockbuster shows, a sensational European style circus and more.

Events

Time-honored favorites like the Royal Hanneford Circus and the petting zoo return, accompanied by the return of the popular attraction Cowtown, where children can learn how to make ice cream, cheese, and butter.

Another big draw is the Country Concert with Rodney Atkins on Friday, March 13th. Even Kool & The Gang will perform a concert on Saturday, March 21st.

  • At Exit 1B, take ramp left for SR-826 South/ Palmetto Expressway toward Miami

  • Turn left onto SR-985 South/SW 107th Avenue

  • Take ramp left for I-595 West toward Florida's Turnpike
  • At Exit 8, take ramp right for Florida's Turnpike/ Ronald Reagan Turnpike toward Miami
  • Keep right to stay on SR-821 South/ Florida's turnpike south/Florida's Turnpike Homestead Ext S/ Ronald Reagan Turnpike
  • At Exit 25, take ramp right and follow signs for US-41/ SW 8th Street
  • Turn right onto US-41 East/ SW 8th Street/ Tamiami Trail
  • Turn right onto SR-985 South/ SW 107th Ave
  • Turn right onto SW 24th Street/ Coral Way
  • Arrive at The Fair
