For the first time in the show’s history, both tribes, which will be men vs. women,  must share one beach and live at the same camp.

They’ll have to decide just how much of their resources and intel they want to share with the other tribe.

It’s sure to cause plenty of cross-tribe alliances, and other mischief.

The tribes are called Salani and Manono, named after islands in Samoa.

There are few new tricks as well.

While Redemption Island is out, “Do It Yourself Challenges” are in. Also, hidden immunity idols will be played differently. This time, there will be two idols hidden at the camp — one for each tribe — but finding your tribe’s idol does not guarantee your safety. Instead, the player who finds the idol has to give it to someone from the other tribe.

The premiere episode of “Survivor: One World,” titled “Two Tribes, One Camp, No Rules,” airs at 8 p.m. on CBS4.

The owner of the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark said Tuesday that the funeral will be held at noon at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark.

The funeral home said that no wake would be held and that there would be no public memorial at Newark’s Prudential Center, the sports arena that the family had discussed as a possible venue.

The funeral service will be by invitation only, Carolyn Whigham said, reflecting the family’s desire to keep the memorial more personal.

“They have shared her for 30 some years with the city, with the state, with the world. This is their time now for their farewell,” she said.

“The family thanks all the fans, the friends and the media, but this time is their private time,” she said.

The 48-year-old Houston died Feb. 11 at a hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., just hours before she was set to perform at producer Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards bash. Officials say she was underwater and apparently unconscious when she was pulled from a bathtub.

After an autopsy Sunday, authorities said there were no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma on Houston. It could be weeks, however, before the coroner’s office completes toxicology tests to establish the cause of death.

Los Angeles County coroner’s assistant chief Ed Winter said bottles of prescription medicine were found in the room. He would not give details except to say: “There weren’t a lot of prescription bottles. You probably have just as many prescription bottles in your medicine cabinet.”

Her body was returned to New Jersey late Monday.

Houston was born in Newark and was raised in nearby East Orange. She began singing as a child at New Hope Baptist Church, where her mother, Grammy-winning gospel singer Cissy Houston, led the music program for many years. Her cousin singer Dionne Warwick also sang in its choir.

An impromptu memorial for Houston was held Sunday during a sadness-tinged Grammys, with Jennifer Hudson saluting her memory with a performance of “I Will Always Love You.” Viewership for the awards show soared over last year by 50 percent, with about 40 million viewers tuning in to the program on CBS.

On Monday, mourners left flowers, balloons and candles for Houston at the wrought-iron fence around the tall brick church, which sits near the edge of an abandoned housing project near the train line leading to New York City.

“She was an inspiration to everybody,” said Gregory Hanks, an actor who grew up in the neighborhood and who dropped off a bouquet. He saw Houston perform in New Jersey years ago.

“I grew up listening to her as a little boy, and to hear her sing, you knew she was special,” he said.

A sensation from her first album, Houston was one of the world’s best-selling artists from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s, turning out such hits as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” ”How Will I Know,” ”The Greatest Love of All” and “I Will Always Love You.” But as she struggled with drugs, her majestic voice became raspy, and she couldn’t hit the high notes.

Houston left behind one child, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, from her marriage to singer Bobby Brown.

She’s a Florida girl who’s comfortable in a bikini and on this cover the 19-year-old is wearing a tiny red-and-brown, sparkle-covered string bikini with a view of the waters of Australia behind her.

The cover was unveiled Monday on the “Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS.

“That was one of the first photos from the first shoot,” she said in a telephone interview before the big reveal. “It was my favorite swimsuit. I felt sexy in it but confident.”

Upton, 5 feet 10, was born in Michigan but raised in Florida. Her hometown is Melbourne, on the state’s east coast.

“In Florida, people walk around in their flip-flops, bikinis and jean shorts, so I’m very comfortable in a bathing suit,” she said.

The 2012 magazine cover is her second time appearing in the annual SI issue that’s the equivalent of the Super Bowl for models. Last year, when Irina Shayk was on the cover, Upton was chosen as rookie of the year.

“I have had a great year,” she said. “For me, this is groundbreaking.”

A huge perk of the job as the official swimsuit model is visiting lovely beaches, including shoots for the magazine in Sydney and Cairns, Australia, and Apalachicola, Fla.

She said living a healthy lifestyle for her includes working out regularly with a personal trainer and watching what she eats. But there’s no special diet to prepare for a bikini shoot, she said, and she admits to splurging on the occasional ice cream or plate of fries.

Christie Brinkley, Elle Macpherson, Carol Alt, Kathy Ireland, Tyra Banks are among the celebrity models who previously had this gig. Upton said, “I am so glad to be in their company.”

The singer was found Saturday by a member of her personal staff at approximately 3:30 p.m. She was pulled from the tub by members of her staff, and hotel security was promptly notified, Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen said.

Further details of Houston’s death are not being released to preserve the integrity of the investigation, he said.

“As of right now, it’s not a criminal investigation,” Rosen told a news conference. “We have concluded our portion of the investigation at the hotel.”

Rosen said it was a coroner’s case and police were awaiting the determination of the cause of death. The coroner’s office says toxicology testing is continuing.

There were no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma on Houston’s body, but officials were not ruling out any causes of death until they have toxicology results, which will likely take weeks to obtain.

Houston struggled for years with addiction to cocaine, marijuana and pills, which took a toll on her voice.

However, Bishop T.D. Jakes, a Texas minister and producer on Houston’s final film project, a re-make of the 1970s release “Sparkle,” said he saw no signs she was having any substance issues.

He said Houston was a complete professional and moved the cast and crew to tears two months ago when she sang the gospel hymn “Her Eyes on the Sparrow” for a scene shot in Detroit.

Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter said the body was released late Monday morning. He would not say where the body was taken but said that typically a family will work with a funeral home to make arrangements.

Two people who have spoken with Houston’s family said the singer’s body will be taken home to New Jersey late Monday for a funeral to be held at week’s end.

The two spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak for the family and funeral arrangements weren’t complete. They said Houston’s family has raised the possibility of holding a wake Thursday and funeral Friday at Newark’s Prudential Center, which can seat about 18,000.

The 48-year-old singer was found unresponsive in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel just hours before she was supposed to appear at a pre-Grammy gala.

The Grammys themselves were in part a memorial to Houston, a six-time winner. LL Cool J introduced a clip near the start of the show of a glowing Houston singing her signature ballad, a cover of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.”

A sensation from her first album, Houston was one of the world’s best-selling artists from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. She awed millions with soaring, but disciplined vocals rooted in gospel and polished for the masses, a bridge between the earthy passion of her godmother, Aretha Franklin, and the bouncy pop of her cousin, Dionne Warwick.

“The big story over the weekend, Whitney Houston,” said 97.3’s Donny Michaels.

The Coast Morning Show featured callers who talked openly about their feelings over the singing icon’s unexpected death.

Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton on the eve of the Grammy’s.

Jennifer Hudson sang one of Houston’s most popular songs, “I Will Always Love You,” at the Grammy’s in tribute to her life and musical legacy.

The singer was an artist that transcended three decades with her powerful voice and 7 number one hits.

“I’m blown away,” said a radio caller named Eric. “I grew up listening to her and really loved her music.”

While most listeners remembered Houston fondly, others shared anger and sadness over her once trouble marriage and dangerous addiction to drugs and alcohol.

“Once they get over the ‘Oh my god, she was an amazing singer, I grew up listening to her etcetera, etcetera,’ right away the anger comes in and it’s all Bobby Brown’s fault,” said 97.3’s Julie Guy.

In the end, Michaels said, “I think most people will look at the positive effect that she had on the music business, all the number one hits.”

Meantime, investigators say it could be weeks before toxicology tests reveal what caused the death of Whitney Houston.

While singing line on French radio, singer Adele felt her voice simply shut down. From Soprano, she said she felt like a baritone. She knew something was horribly wrong.

It took Dr. Steven Zeitels to set things right.

She worried her amazing singing career could be stopped in it’s tracks by what turned out to be a polyp on her vocal cords that had burst.

Zeitels is the director of the Voice Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, where Adele went for laser surgery.

“There was nothing  unusual about it the type of thing Adele had, which is, you know,  been very well publicized,” he said. “It was just simply a benign bleeding polyp.

“We have very unique technology  that we developed over time that took care of this beautifully.”

Speaking on the CBS News broadcast 60 minutes in an interview broadcast just hours before her amazing sweep of the Grammy Awards Sunday night, she told Anderson Cooper the operation was pretty straight-forward.

“They put lasers down your throat, cut off the polyp and kind of laser your hemorage back and fix it,” she said.

She said her biggest problem was the inability to speak while she recovered from surgery, but said she used apps on her phone, including one that had a special, and critical, capability.

“But the great thing is I love to swear. Most of [the apps] you can’t swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so I’m still really getting my point across.”

The surgery allowed her voice to heal, and her performance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards was her first since she recovered. It brought the house down, as did the award after award she took home, winning every category in which she was nominated.

“She is just a phenomenal singer , she is looking great in terms of her vocal function and , you know, she is just a very thoughtful person so i am sure she is integrating all that she has learned, because she is pretty young, that now she will be able to control her own destiny with all of us this.”

“I was so nervous, not even star struck, per say but just nervous because I was going into doing 1960′s makeup with like Whitney Houston,” she recalled.

But Carter-Narcisse said Houston didn’t turn out to be the overly demanding diva that she expected.

“She greeted me with open arms the first day I met her,” remembered Carter-Narcisse. “Hugged and kissed me like I had known her for years.”

Houston not only starred in the movie but also served as the film’s Executive Producer. Dual roles she easily took over despite her long break from the industry.

“You don’t expect to see that caliber when there’s been such a huge break, that caliber performance and I’m telling you it was mind boggling,” she said. “She sang in the church, one of the scenes in the church, oh there was not a dry eye left in that church when we were finished filming.”

News of Houston’s death hit Carter-Narcisse hard after spending more than 80 hours a week on the set with the pop icon.

“Knowing the person from a distance is one thing,” she said. “But when you actually touch them and work with them you know and so many hours of the day its just a whole different feeling it feels like a part of you is gone too.”

Details emerging suggest Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room with prescription drugs also found in the room. Yet Carter-Narcisse said she doubts the singer would have harmed herself.

“Maybe she was just trying to relax because tonight and last night were huge pressure nights,” she said. “I mean but I i find it.. I dont sense drugs in the sense of you know recreational drugs or anything like that I don’t see that… just not from the person that I met and saw.”

Nearly 20 years before “Sparkle”, Whitney Houston was making her first movie, “The Bodyguard.” Some of the most famous scenes were filmed at the Fountainbleau in Miami Beach. At the time Lisa Cole was a publicist there.

“It was Whitney’s first film and she was a little nervous and a little tired,” remembered Cole. “But she was very nice and very gracious.”

Parts of the movie made were made in a penthouse room upstairs, but it was downstairs that she belted out the famous song I Will Always Love You in the ballroom.

“I’m standing next to Kevin Costner and David Foster and she starts singing and we all just looked at each other and went oh my God, I mean wow,” said Cole. “She was remarkable. She finishes the song we’re all with goose bumps and just with our jaws dropping.”

Cole says they made Houston do it five times just because the crew was so mesmerized.

A special tribute is planned for Houston at Sunday’s Grammy Awards which will air on CBS4.

Whitney Houston had ties to South Florida.

One of her biggest accomplishments was filmed at the Fontainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach. In Penthouse Suite 1501 Houston and Kevin Kostner made the movie “The Body Guard.” In the movie Houston’s character performs before an audience at a $1,000 plate dinner. That scene was filmed in what used to be the hotel’s ballroom. Today it is Liv the nightclub.

News of Houston’s death spread quickly Saturday night at the Fontainebleau, where the DJ played remixes of some of her most popular songs. Fans sat back and reminisced on the life of the pop icon.

“Personally I think it’s a tragedy,” said Mark Didio, a fan. “I remember the movie with Kevin Costner. I grew up with that.”

“One of the best renditions of the Star Spangled Banner! She had such range! Beautiful woman! Beautiful voice!,” wrote Jill Saunders on the CBSMiami.com Facebook page.

“RIP Whitney Houston ! Mad love from your beloved fans in Miami !,” wrote MrsDgaf Sanchez on the CBSMiami.com Facebook page.

Houston owned property in Aventura. Over the years she performed a number of concerts including a sold out venue at the James L. Knight Center back in 1993.

Houston’s career peaked in the 1980s and 1990s. The success, however, quickly spun out of control as the songstress fell into drugs and a troubled relationship with singer and husband Bobby Brown. In July of 2000, Houston made an appearance at the Broward County Jail to pick up Brown as he was released from jail. That event like so many others in her life became a paparazzi frenzy.

“Whitney was always so sweet to me! Was rooting for her through her struggles! Such a shame…I’m truly saddened by this news,” said Gloria Estefan on her Facebook page.

“Houston won her first GRAMMY Award in 1985 for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female for “Saving All My Love For You.” She won the same award in 1987 for “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” In 1993 Houston won three GRAMMYs: Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female and Record Of The Year for “I Will Always Love You”; and Album Of The Year for The Bodyguard — Original Soundtrack. Houston’s most recent GRAMMY win came in 1999 for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay,” according to Grammy.org.

The cause of death was unknown, Houston’s publicist Kristen Foster told the Associated Press.

Houston’s death came on the night before music’s biggest showcase, the Grammys. She will be remembered Sunday in a tribute by Jennifer Hudson, organizers said. Houston had been at rehearsals for the show Thursday, coaching singers Brandy and Monica, according to a person who was at the event but was not authorized to speak publicly about it. The person said Houston looked disheveled, was sweating profusely and liquor and cigarettes could be smelled on her breath.

Houston was set to make her return to film in the remake of the classic movie “Sparkle.” Filming on the movie, which stars former “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks, recently wrapped. Houston was one of the producers, and it tells the story of a family of singers ravaged by drug abuse — a story Houston knew all too well.

Studio estimates Sunday show that the love story starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum took in $41.7 million to come in ahead of two new action tales and the first 3-D “Star Wars” reissue.

Landing a close second with $39.3 million was Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds’ action thriller “Safe House.” Coming in solidly at No. 3 was Dwayne Johnson’s family action sequel “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” with $27.6 million.

And adding to George Lucas’ riches was the 3-D premiere of “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace,” which was No. 4 with $23 million. That raises the lifetime domestic total for “Phantom Menace to $454.1 million.

This was the first non-holiday weekend that four movies opened with more than $20 million each, said Paul Dergarabedian, analyst for box-office tracker Hollywood.com. The only other time when four new releases did that well was over Christmas weekend in 2008, he said.

“It felt like a summer weekend to me,” Dergarabedian said. “This was like a great big valentine from Hollywood to the audience, or from the audience to Hollywood.”

The four big debuts maintained Hollywood’s strong business during the normally sleepy winter. Overall domestic revenues totaled $193 million, up 19.3 percent from the same weekend last year, when “Just Go with It” led with $30.5 million.

So far this year, domestic receipts are at $1.2 billion, 19 percent ahead of 2011′s.

“I really believe people are in a movie-going mode,” said Nikki Rocco, head of distribution for Universal, which released “Safe House.” ”There have been great choices so far this year. I feel honestly that the mild weather has helped them enjoy wintertime for what it is. They’re not stuck inside, they’re not snowed in. Maybe people like to get out of the home rather than cocooning.”

Timed to Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, “The Vow” stars McAdams as a woman who awakens in the hospital after a car wreck with no memory of her husband (Tatum) and the last five years of her life.
Women accounted for 72 percent of the audience for “The Vow,” whose receipts in just its first two days exceeded the movie’s $30 million production budget.

“There are certain movies that women, no pun intended, vow they are going to see, and this is that kind of movie,” said Rory Bruer, head of distribution for Sony, whose Screen Gems banner released “The Vow.” ”I do think a lot of men are going to be seeing it on Feb. 14. It’s a great date movie, and I think the men who do see it on Valentine’s Day are going to be thoroughly entertained.”

“The Vow” added $9.7 million in 20 overseas markets to bring its worldwide total to $51.4 million.
The audience was split evenly between males and females for “Safe House,” which stars Washington as a CIA traitor who turns himself in and winds up on the run with his rookie minder (Reynolds).

“Safe House” also took in $10.2 million from 25 overseas territories to lift its worldwide total to $49.5 million.

“Journey 2″ stars Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens in a follow-up to the 2008 hit “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” a modern take on Jules Verne’s sci-fi classic. The sequel gives a similar twist to Verne’s “The Mysterious Island.”

The movie began rolling out overseas three weeks earlier than its domestic release. It added $25.5 million in 29 overseas markets this weekend to raise its international total to $74.7 million and putting its worldwide take at $102.3 million.

Domestically, “Journey 2″ started modestly Friday, behind “The Phantom Menace.” But family crowds swamped theaters for “Journey 2″ on Saturday.

“For us to win that family battle this weekend was a tremendous coup for the film,” said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner Bros., which released “Journey 2.”

The PG-rated “Journey 2″ filled out that family niche on a weekend that gave viewers wide choices.
“I’ve always felt the market is healthiest when there’s something for everyone, and there is something for everyone now. ‘The Vow’ has a specific audience, ‘Safe House’ has a specific audience, ‘Journey 2′ found its audience. And ‘Star Wars’ is ‘Star Wars,’” said Chris Aronson, head of distribution for 20th Century Fox, which released Lucas’ sci-fi franchise. “It’s one of those really rare jewels in the film universe.”

While business was strong for “The Phantom Menace,” it came up short of the $30.2 million debut for last September’s 3-D re-release of “The Lion King.”

“The Phantom Menace” reissue added $20.5 million in 61 overseas markets, bringing the 3-D version’s worldwide haul to $43.5 million. Added to the $924 million global total from its original 1999 release, the movie is climbing toward the $1 billion mark.

Release dates for 3-D versions of the remaining five “Star Wars” flicks have not been announced, though the initial plan for Fox and Lucas was to put out one a year.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Hollywood.com. Where available, latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.
