Agenda’s been sparse lately because by the time I walked in each morning the Dolphins were coming apart even more. So we’ll dive into the Dolphins/Incognito/Martin story and look at the big college football weekend ahead.
It’s Halloween and there are, well, frankly some seriously scary stories coming out of South Florida in the sports world. Plus we’ll preview the Dolphins vs. Bengals Thursday night and the FSU vs. UM on Saturday all in the agenda.
Yikes, a nearly disastrous game for UM on Saturday; the Dolphins stink it up in New England; the Heat make their final roster cuts; Missouri is not quite up to the challenge and the SEC East is wide open. Now the Fins are on a short week, the Panthers are…well, the Panthers, and the Heat start the regular season this week. Oh and Mike Pouncey was slapped with a subpoena. Other than that, not much is going on…ha!
Not a lot of time for a full agenda today, but we’ll give you the picks of the weekend, game of the weekend, and your upset special all ahead in the agenda!
If you’re wondering why there was no agenda yesterday, it’s because I began working on the UM story around 9 a.m. and stopped around 3 p.m. Besides that story, the Dolphins have entered full-fledged desperation mode thanks to the signing of Bryant McKinnie; Mizzou preps for a battle with the Ol’ Ball Coach; and my thoughts on the UM fiasco all in today’s agenda.
The Heat are in preseason, the Panthers are struggling, so there’s only one thing to talk about today and that’s FOOTBALL! We’ve got all sorts of action from the college and professional ranks as teams begin jockeying for position for bowls, championships, and the playoffs.
The Dolphins are in trouble, even though they’re on the bye week. The Canes are sitting pretty and already looking towards November. The big game this weekend for me is in Athens, Georiga and I’m feeling upset. Plus Texas’ Mack Brown will make his final stand this Saturday, but will it be like Custer’s?
The Fins come back to earth after Monday’s demolition at the hands of the Saints, but are they overrated? The Buccaneers are a mess and there’s only one way out. College football attendance is down this year, even in the SEC, Savannah State can explain why. And, what would a government shutdown be without a special comment?
Now that was a fun weekend for sports and we’re not quite done yet because the Dolphins play tonight. The Heat hold media day today, bet that’s going to be fun, wonder what LeBron’s first question will be? The Marlins lose more than 100, but end on a high note, but are still a mess (much like that sentence). And college football craziness, all in the agenda!
It’s kind of slow overnight in the local sports world, but Kevin Durant tweaked D-Wade. It’s football time again this week, so time for some picks. And anything else we can shake a stick at ahead in the agenda.
