The school was put on lockdown around 7:30 a.m. after reports came in of the gun on campus.

The school, located 13110 NE 8th Avenue, was on lockdown for about four hours as the school was swept for weapons and police interviewed students, including the student who had reported the supposed gun.

Students and staff were frozen in place during the lockdown. Some were stuck in the cafeteria, library, and classrooms.

A mother, who was in constant contact with her child at the school, was told this was a prank since it's test week.

The school district is not confirming if this was a prank.

Dismissal will be at the normal, scheduled time.
