CBS4 has exclusively obtained new surveillance tape from a nearby business that shows the tense moments moments after the shooting at the Champions Banquet Hall, at 167th Street and NW 27th Avenue. The tape shows dozens of banquet hall patrons fleeing. Some are seen running. Others are captured on camera walking quickly in groups.

Witnesses said there was a birthday party going on at the time.

"I was inside sleeping and heard something going on because my windows were down," said Jeremiah Muiruri, a truck driver.

He was trying to get some sleep in his rig near the strip mall when he heard gunshots and then saw the commotion.

"I could see people moving, running up and down," he said.

"Everybody comes through the door, I start running," said Dainty Dooaz, who was outside on the phone. "Once I start seeing people running, we just run. So I run to my truck parked all the way over here."
Three males and a woman were injured by the gunfire.

Miami Gardens Police said three of them were taken to area hospitals. The fourth was driven to Memorial Hospital West.

One injured woman was treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital and released.

"I was just trying to run for my life and got shot," she told CBS4's Peter D'Oench that she was in a lot of pain from her wound.

"It's not God," she said as she was taken in her wheelchair to a waiting car. "I think it's crazy."

No word on the conditions of the others.

"It's really sad because I can't imagine people just shooting each other, it doesn't make sense," said Muiriri.

Less than 12 hours after this incident, there was another shooting nearby near Bunche Park Plaza at NW 27th Avenue and 159th Street. Chopper 4 was overhead as a male was transported from the scene to a local hospital. It's not known if that shooting is connected to the gunfire at the Banquet Hall.

CBS4 reached out to representatives of the Banquet Hall but no one wanted to comment.

Police have not said what led to the shooting.
