MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Police are looking for those responsible in a shooting that left one person dead and a car riddled with bullets in Miami.

"It sounded like somebody was banging on our door but it turned out to be gunshots. Really, really loud," said neighbor Sara Sater.

A security camera in the 3700 block of SW 27th Lane captured a person with a gun shooting at a car as the driver sped off in an attempt to escape a hail of bullets late Tuesday night. The video even captures the glow of the bullets whizzing by.

The driver made it only a short distance before crashing into a pole.

A neighbor who spoke with CBS4's Tiani Jones looked out the window and saw the black sedan covered in bullet holes. Slowly, other neighbors began coming out of their homes surrounding the car.

Arriving officers found the car riddled with bullets, the driver was dead behind the wheel.

"We could kind of see the guy just leaning forward," said Sater.

Miami-Dade Police have confirmed that a man between 20 and 25 was found dead inside the car. However, they are still looking for the person responsible for shooting and killing him.

"It was really scary. Last night I mean I was crying and you can't help but to cry. Somebody's life has been taken. I mean I don't know why but it's still not right," said Sater.

Another neighbor told Jones, it's time to move. Last night's shooting was enough to convince her to start packing her bags.

"With everything we see on Facebook and social media and now this so close to home, it's pretty scary and especially that I'm a runner and I run through the community almost every morning. I won't do it anymore. I won't. That's why I am going to the gym right now. I won't do it anymore," said neighbor Nada Sater.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471 - TIPS.
