1 Dead In Dania Beach Shooting

DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a deadly shooting in Dania Beach Thursday night.

A 911 dispatcher got a call a little after 7:30 p.m. that there had been gunfire at 117th SW 5th Court.

“He’s just like the boy next door. She got blood on her hands and he got shot, screaming ‘help me, help me,’” said a neighbor, who only identified himself as “John.”

Neighbors say there is trouble in this neighborhood, but the shooting was not unexpected and he motive is unclear.

“It appears to be a group of people congregated in a home here. An altercation ensued and multiple shots were fired,” explained BSO spokesperson Keyla Concepcion.

A 25-year-old male, who has not been identified, was struck and rushed to the hospital where he died.

At this time, authorities have not released a description of the shooter.
