FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins may be in the middle of a playoff race but that doesn’t mean members of the team aren’t taking time to give back for the holidays.

Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh visited the Burlington Coat Factory at the Lakes Mall in Fort Lauderdale on Monday.

Suh is volunteering with Pay Away the Layaway to pay off gifs and essentials for children and their families.

Suh and volunteers from Pay Away the Layaway surprised these families at the store and letting them know that their layaway balance has been paid off.

The selected families arrived at the store around 2 p.m. and had no idea this was happening.

Pay Away the Layaway is a nonprofit organization that raises money online and uses those funds to pay off layaway balances with gifts for kids across the country. To learn more about Pay Away the Layaway, visit their website by clicking here.
