NEW YORK (CBSMiami) - President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Democratic Senator Joe Manchin at the Trump Tower in New York before hitting the road for Louisiana and Michigan.

On Thursday, Mr. Trump continued his "Thank You" tour in Iowa, a state whose governor, Terry Branstad, has been selected by the President-elect to be the next Ambassador to China. During his speech, Mr. Trump had some tough words for China.

"The nation of China's responsible for almost half of America's trade deficit," said Mr. Trump. "They haven't played by the rules and I know its time they are going to start."

The President-elect also hinted at more Cabinet picks.

"I think you will be liking some of the things we will be putting forward in the not too distant future. Do you know what I mean," he said.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Trump's transition team announced that fast food CEO Andrew Puzder as head of the Department of Labor. The move raised eyebrows because Puzder has strongly opposed large minimum wage increases.

On Friday, Mr. Trump's "Thank You" stops will take him to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
