MIAMI (CBSMiami) – "Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities" from Cirque du Soleil is described as a tale in which time comes to a complete stop, transporting the audience inside a fantasy world where everything is possible.

"The action is taking place in the mid-19th century in the time of the Industrial Revolution," said Amelie Robitaille, the show's publicist. "The time of the great inventions, when people believed that everything was possible. So we're kind of opening your curiosity and inviting you into our cabinet."

Six artists from 15 nationalities are getting set to perform under the big top outside Hard Rock Stadium for Saturday's South Florida premiere.  It's the 15th stop on their North American tour.

During rehearsal Thursday afternoon, brothers Roman and Vitali Tomanov rehearsed their aerial straps routine. In phase one of the show, the brothers are Siamese twins, but separate in phase two.

"One of us tries not to be the together, the other wants to come back," said Roman.

In order to perform the routine, which requires brute strength, the two gymnasts workout for hours every day.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo asked the brothers if they ever argue since they spend so much time together.

"No, actually we are really good, we understand each other, we click," said Vitali.

Roman added, "We have the same technique. Our dad was our trainer, so we have same training which is good."

"I see a similarity here," said Petrillo, pointing to their arms. "They've got guns!"

And so, Petrillo gave it a try, with Vitali giving her a quick lesson in liftoff.

Soon, Lisa was swinging.

"Wow, it's really hard. My arms are killing me!" said Petrillo, while in the air.

The show is a truly magical celebration of athleticism and imagination for audiences of all ages.

Kurios is on under the big top at Hard Rock Stadium starting December 10 through Saturday until January 29.  For ticket info, visit cirquedusoleil.com/kurios.
