Tanker Truck Fire Closes Parts Of I-595 For Westbound Drivers

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) -- The westbound lanes of I-595 at University Drive were shut down for several hours Saturday following a vehicle fire.
Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from a tanker truck around 3:30 p.m.
The westbound stretch between University Drive and Pine Island Road was closed.
Traffic was being diverted to State Road 84 at the University Drive exit.
First responders were able to extinguish the fire without anyone being hurt.
