MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police are on the scene of a shooting Friday night where a toddler and two men were injured.

According to police, Tavares Pollydor and Altraun McDonald, who was carrying his  1-year-old son Dorian, were standing outside of 8351 NW 15 Avenue.

A black BMW traveling northbound on NW 15th Avenue drove up and opened fire on them, striking both men.

Both men immediately ran towards the house and McDonald handed the baby over to someone else.

CBS4's Tiani Jones spoke with a neighbor who said there was another shooting just two weeks ago on their street.

"I just heard five or six shots and then I heard the helicopter a few minutes later, that's all I heard," the witness recalled. "I didn't come outside because they just shot at the store like two weeks before this and it look like they were going to have a wake for that shooting.  I saw that coming up and as soon as I saw that I came in the house."

Fire rescue transported 30-year-old Pollydor and 28-year-old McDonald to the Ryder Trauma Center for gunshot wounds to the back.

Authorities said a second victim fled the scene and ended up at North Shore Medical Center. He was later taken to the Ryder Trauma Center.

Moments later, family members noticed the toddler suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Paramedics described the wound as "superficial," but not a graze, which came from a stray bullet.

The child was also taken to Ryder as a pediatric trauma alert.

All three victims are listed in stable condition.

Authorities have not released a description of the driver or shooter.
