MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Voters in Florida's 23rd Congressional District have re-elected Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Republican Joe Kaufman challenged the incumbent Congresswoman for the seat, which covers parts of Broward County and Miami-Dade County.

The two disagreed on almost every issue.

It's been a tumultuous year for the Weston wife and mother. Wasserman Schultz had been the most prominent member of Florida's House delegation, serving as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. But her leadership came under fire and she was forced to resign her position as head of the DNC after an uproar over thousands of leaked emails revealed efforts to derail the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign.
