Foster signed a one-year contract worth $1.5 million with the Dolphins in the offseason.
The injury-prone back was coming off a ruptured Achilles tendon. He suffered the injury, ironically, against the Dolphins.
This season he battled a groin injury that knocked him out of a few games and paved the way for second-year running back Jay Ajayi.
Ajayi literally ran away with the job, rushing for over 200 yards in back-to-back weeks.
But over the course his career, Foster was no slouch.
During his eight years in the league, Foster was the epitome of a dual-threat back. He toted the ball 1,476 times for 6,527 yards and 54 touchdowns. He also caught 255 passes for 2,346 yards and 14 additional scores.
