Get Your IDs, Early Voting Starts Monday In Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Get your government issued ID ready. It's your moment to voice your opinion in such a contentious election.

Early voting starts Monday, October 24th in Florida - a major battleground state. Polls will be open from 7 a.m to 7 p.m.

Before you head out to cast your ballot, make sure you know where to go. Click on the corresponding links to find early voting locations for: Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Monroe County.

Voters wanting to take advantage of early voting may do so until Sunday, November 6th in Miami-Dade and Broward counties and until Sunday, November 5th in Monroe County.

Voting can also be done through absentee ballots which will be mailed to your home. To do that, you must request a ballot by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd. To request an absentee ballot in Miami-Dade click here or here for Broward or here for Monroe counties.

As of Friday, more than 997,00 Floridians had voted through absentee ballots. Of those, more than 416,000 are Republican, nearly 400,000 are Democrats, and more than 154,000 had not party affiliation.

The only form of voting left after that is on Election Day, November 8th. Make sure you know where you need to cast your ballot. Click here to find out where to go.
