Dolphins Celebrate Community Service During Alumni Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The Miami Dolphins are celebrating Alumni Weekend by honoring former members of the organization who have given back to the community in a positive way.

The Alumni Weekend Celebrity Draw Party kicks off Friday evening at the Hard Rock Stadium South Gate.

The team is tipping its hat to the large alumni base whose contributions to the community inclue nearly 200,000 hours of service and nearly $500 million dollars raised for good causes.

The former members of the organization being honored are Dick Anderson, Kim Bokamper, Bob Brudzinski, Nick Buoniconti, Vernon Carey, Chris Chambers, Jeff Dellenbach, Troy Drayton, Oronde Gadsden, Bob Griese, Larry Little, Sam Madison, Jim Mandich, Dan Marino, Stockar McDougle, O.J. McDuffie, Don McNeal, Nat Moore, John Offerdahl, Adewale Ogunleye, Lousaka Polite, James Pruitt, Twan Russell, Don Shula, Dwight Stephenson, Don Strock, Jason Taylor and Shawn Wooden.

On Saturday, they'll hit the links for a few rounds of golf and an alumni luncheon. Then on game day, the group will gather for tailgating before for the Dolphins and Bills game and will be honored at halftime for their service.
