MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While Hillary Clinton took some time off from campaigning, her running mate Tim Kaine took over the trail, stopping in Miami on Saturday.

He held a block party in Liberty City to rally supporters to vote.

"We trying to make a change," said rapper Pusha T as he introduced Kaine to the crowd. "Stronger together. Without further ado, Tim Kaine."

With shades on, Kaine began his speech praising his running mate, Hillary Clinton, on her debate performance.

"I think she has shown what it is to be a president," said Kaine. "Her demeanor. She's got the judgement. She's got the experience."

But Kiane quickly turned the speech to Donald Trump.

"There's no bottom for this guy," said Kaine. "Just when you think he goes low he gets lower and lower and now is this horrible set of his comments."

Kaine then referenced the leaked video where Trump makes lewd comments about women.

"I'm offended. Everyone should be offended," he said. "But when he says this is just locker room talk This is just what men do. Hey hold on a second!"

Kaine's visit to South Florida comes during the final weekend before Florida's new October 18 voter registration deadline.

And a day after republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence was campaigning in Miami.

Kaine spoke about the issues as well, such as immigration, the economy, health rights, and education.

"Let's make a promise to our students that they can go to college debt free," Kaine said. "If your family makes less than 125 thousand dollars a year, you should be able to go tuition free. And for those that are already out of college and have debt we have to make it easier for people to refinance debt."
