MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is coming home Sunday when his team faces off against the Miami Dolphins.
But instead of Miami honoring a returning star, Brown is paying it forward.
The flashy wide out, known for his larger-than-life persona, has created custom cleats commemorating the lives of two local legends: Jose Fernandez and Kimbo Slice.

Fernandez, in many ways, was the baseball equivalent of Brown.
Not only was the 24-year-old Marlins ace a marvelous talent, he had an infectious personality and confidence that elevated his game.
Unfortunately, the Cuban phenom's life was cut short when his boat hit a jetty on Government Cut off the coast of Miami Beach.

Brown, who grew up in Liberty City, also shares a connection to the streets of Miami just as Slice did.
The Bahamian-born fighter, who died of heart failure, grew up in South Florida as Kevin Ferguson.
He became an internet sensation in the 2000s when his street fighting and backyard brawling videos went viral on YouTube.
And this isn't the first time Brown has paid homage to important figures.
This season Brown has worn cleats honoring Muhammad Ali and Arnold Palmer.

But whether it's a fellow sports star or family, Brown has a show, and shoe, in store for you.
