PALMETTO BAY (CBSMiami) – CBS4 is proud to announce the second annual “Jonathan’s Day,” an event to support children with autism and their families. Jonathan’s Day is part of Palmetto Bay’s Unique Abilities Fair, which takes place Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coral Reef Park, located at 7895 SW 152nd Street in Palmetto Bay.
The Village’s Unique Abilities Fair centers around establishing park programming and helping parents connect with resources and to foster inclusion in our community.
Jonathan’s Day is named after Jonathan Mizrachi, a charming 12-year-old South Florida boy with autism, who is the son of a CBS4 employee. Jonathan loves adventure and like any other boys his age, his no fear attitude has made him an exceptional child.
The event is being held in conjunction with the University of Miami/Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD). CARD is a non-profit organization providing direct services to thousands of South Florida families affected by autism.
Scheduled events include food trucks, music, ability demonstrations, sports photo gallery, art in the park project, community resources booths, park programming booths and much more.
All are welcome to Palmetto Bay’s Unique Abilities Fair: Jonathan’s Day on December 3rd at 10:00 a.m.
